All Football Power Rankings of the Week: Barcelona & Man City surpass Juventus

Hello again! We organize clubs of Europe's top 5 leagues into an order that reflects the up-to-the-minute hierarchy every Tuesday. 

The rankings are a season-long measurement of clubs, tracking teams throughout 2018-19 and taking into account results from all competitions. Our rankings consider advanced stats, full-season play and recent performance with some gut feeling mixed in. 

Sides that have lost the fewest games naturally rank higher—though the strength of opposition met in a loss is considered—and both UEFA Champions/Europa League form and presence are used as tiebreakers for those with similar records. Teams that gather big wins against strong opponents get a boost.

10. PSG

Neymar-less PSG suffered their first league defeat of the season after losing to Lyon.

Di Maria opened the scoring for PSG, but Fekir's 49-min penalty left Tuchel's side in pain.

The 2-1 defeat at Lyon has high-flying Parisians suffer their first league defeat of the Ligue 1 season.

9. Dortmund

Dortmund were held by Frankfort but remained 7 points clear atop of Bundesliga table.

Captain Reus' opener cancelled out as BVB were held to a 1-1 draw at Frankfort.

However, league rivals Bayern Munich's shock loss helped Dortmund maintain 7-point Bundesliga lead.

8. Real Madrid

Benzema-inspired Real Madrid sealed two wins last week booking Copa del Rey semi-final.

In-form Benzema scored 3 goals last week, the first two in Copa del Rey sent Los Blancos into last 4.

In La Liga, a 3-0 win over Alaves cut Madrid's gap on Atletico down to only 2 points.

7. Chelsea

It was a dramatic week for Chelsea from 4-0 humiliation to 5-0 hammering, who only led 2 points by on rise Man Utd.

Sarri-ball was left on the floor as Chelsea suffered 4-0 humiliation to Bournemouth with staring Higuain failed to shoot even once.

In the weekend, Higuain refound his form with his first Blues double as Hazard also bagged home brace in a 5-0 thrashing over Huddersfield.

6. Man Utd

Man Utd FINALLY overtook Arsenal on 5th spot of Premier League standings, 2 points behind top 4.

Solskjaer continued his impressive start as Man Utd remain unbeaten last week, including a 2-2 draw with Burnley.

The Red Devils seized the chance to go 5th with Rashford winner in his 100th Premier League cap with a 1-0 win over Leicester.

5. Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham narrowed their gap on Man City to only 2 points with 2 wins last week. 

Son's return from Asian Cup boosted the confidence of Kane-less Tottenham who secured two wins last week.

A 2-1 win over Watford and 1-0 win over Newcastle handed 3rd-placed Spurs chance to overtake Man City. 

4. Liverpool

It wasn't a good week for Liverpool as two draws in a row left Premier League title race reopen.

From 7-point lead clear at top to leading Man City only by 3 points, Leicester and West Ham draws reduced Liverpool's title confidence.

Will the Reds hold on to their title dreams, or Man City (maybe even Spurs) seize the chance to surpass their rivals? Time to see...

3. Juventus

Unrecognized Juventus conceded 6 goals last week, crashing out of Coppa Italia.

Chiellini's injury blow gave Atalanta huge boost who eliminated Coppa Italia defending champions Juventus with a 3-0 thrashing.

In Serie A, Ronaldo scored two and assisted another but Bianconeri were held at 93-min in a 3-3 draw with newcomers Parma.

2. Man City

Man City cut the gap on Liverpool down to 3 points after beating Arsenal.

Guardiola took his 100th Premier League game in charge of Man City in a 2-1 loss to Newcastle.

In the weekend, Aguero hit his 10th Premier League hat-trick to help Citizens go 3 points off leaders Liverpool after a 3-1 win over Arsenal. 

1. Barcelona

Barcelona booked Copa del Rey semi-final spot with another Camp Nou comeback. 

Coutinho broke goal drought with double as Barcelona came back to beat Sevilla with a 6-3 aggregate win booking Copa del Rey semi-finals.

In La Liga, Messi came to the rescue with a brace as Barca were saved in a 2-2 draw with Valencia.
