Ancelotti names Alisson as Brazil's primary goalkeeper despite omission

Carlo Ancelotti has named Alisson as Brazil's primary goalkeeper despite leaving him out of the squad for the November international break.

Brazil will face Japan and Singapore in friendly matches on November 14 and 17 respectively, and Ancelotti has once again named an inexperienced lineup.

Corinthians midfielder Andre and Cruzeiro defender Jonathan Jesus have received maiden call-ups, while Manchester City's Allan has also been included.

No Flamengo or Palmeiras players have been called up after an agreement between the clubs and the CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation), with both clubs competing for the league title.

Vinicius Junior, Raphinha and Endrick are the more experienced faces in the squad, along with Bourenmouth's Rayan, who has impressed under Ancelotti.

With many questioning Alisson's exclusion, Ancelotti made it clear the Liverpool goalkeeper is still his number one.

"We don't need to test Alisson, we know him very well. He's the best goalkeeper," Ancelotti said.

"When the Copa America starts, he'll be called up. Like Alisson, all the others will be."

Ancelotti also defended the inclusion of Chelsea winger Estevao, who has struggled for minutes under Xabi Alonso this season.

"We hope he can show all the quality he has. We'll keep an eye on him," Ancelotti added.

"If he doesn't play a single minute at Chelsea, we'll keep an eye on him until the day we think he's no longer useful for the national team."
