According to The Athletic's renowned journalist David Ornstein, Anderson will sign a five-year contract with Manchester City, with a weekly salary potentially reaching £300,000.

Reports indicate that Manchester City has reached an agreement with Nottingham Forest to sign Elliot Anderson for a transfer fee of £116 million.

This transfer fee is a fixed amount, excluding any add-ons, making it the highest transfer fee for a British player in history and breaking Manchester City's club record, surpassing the £100 million they paid Aston Villa for Jack Grealish in 2021.

The English midfielder is expected to sign a five-year contract with Manchester City. If all bonus clauses are met, his total weekly earnings could reach approximately £300,000. The contract also includes an option for a 12-month extension.

The 23-year-old Anderson has been granted permission to undergo a medical examination in New York on Friday, although the deal still requires the finalization of personal terms. The player is currently with the England squad at the World Cup.
