Andy Robertson has revealed that he has written a book about Liverpool's historic Premier League-title winning season.

Robertson hasn't said what the book will be called but he has confirmed it will be released on September 17.

The left back, who joined Liverpool from Hull in 2017, enjoyed a stellar season as Jurgen Klopp's side won the English top division for the first time since 1990.

And Robertson, a keen reader and writer, said he wanted to give supporters and the wider the football world an insight into to what it was like from inside the dressing room.

The book starts in the days after Liverpool's Champions League triumph over Tottenham and finishes with them lifting the Premier League trophy.

Robertson told BT Sport: 'I don't think I'm interesting enough to write a book about myself so I thought I'd write about the season that we had.

'It was an incredible season, I've read the draft of it and I thought it was a good read but I'm going to be bias. Hopefully the people like it. I've set up my own charity in Scotland and the proceeds are going towards helping to set that up and helping under privileged kids.'

Robertson, who is currently in pre-season training with Liverpool in Austria, has also kept a close eye on the closing stages of the Champions League.

The 26-year-old Scotland international was asked if anything had stunned him while watching the action.

'As footballers we love seeing other footballers doing incredible things,' said Robertson, who then singled out Alphonso Davies's moment of brilliance against Barcelona in the quarter-final match last Friday.

Davies surged down the left side before assisting Joshua Kimmich to score Bayern's fifth goal in the 63rd minute in the 8-2 victory.

Robertson added: 'Don't be expecting me to do that anytime in a hurry. That was just incredible. He probably took five or six of them out of the game with just one passage of play.

'He's a phenomenal player and someone I enjoy watching and I think the whole world is enjoying watching him at the minute and I'm no different.'
