Former Real Madrid striker Antonio Cassano believes his former club have been 'really lucky' in the Champions League this season and he says Carlo Ancelotti cannot develop players.
Real advanced to the semi-finals of the Champions League on Tuesday after beating reigning champions Chelsea 5-4 on aggregate.
But Cassano has been left unimpressed as he says Real's luck will run out eventually having performed 'badly' in the knockout stages.
'Real Madrid played badly against Chelsea and PSG, he [Ancelotti] was really, really lucky. But luck will end sooner or later,' Cassano told Bobo TV on Twitch.
In the Round of 16, the 13-time winners produced a stunning a stunning comeback to beat Paris Saint-Germain 3-2 on aggregate thanks to a quick-fire hat-trick from Karim Benzema.
That was followed up by another strong performance in the first leg of the quarter-finals, when Benzema came up with another hat-trick to guide his team to a 3-1 win at Stamford Bridge.
Despite losing the return leg on Tuesday, Real booked a semi-final meeting with Manchester City.
Cassano has also claimed Ancelotti doesn't develop any players as he insists Real are only top of LaLiga due to Barcelona's poor start to the season.
'Real Madrid don't play well in LaLiga, Barcelona had a bad start, but now it's a different story. Ancelotti makes players feel well, but I can't remember one who developed under him,' he said.
Real are currently eight points clear of second-placed Barcelona with seven games to go.
They will seek to take another step towards winning the title when they travel to Sevilla on Sunday.
