Liverpool youngster Jayden Danns had a day he'll likely remember for the rest of his life, lifting the Carabao Cup on just his second appearance - and footage shows he certainly felt the emotion in the Reds' celebrations.

After both teams saw goals scrubbed off during normal time in Sunday's showpiece final at Wembley, Liverpool at last beat Chelsea in the 118th minute, with captain Virgil van Dijk heading home.

The Reds beat Mauricio Pochettino's side for the second time in three years in the final of the competition, ensuring Jurgen Klopp would add at least one more trophy to his cabinet before departing Anfield at the end of the season.

Despite Chelsea being underdogs to win it, the fact that the Reds were missing nearly a full XI of players meant that there were a number of academy graduates in the side, Danns being one of them.

After the final whistle, with the players singing You'll Never Walk Alone with their fans as is their tradition, Danns was belting out the anthem, much to the amusement of some of his team-mates.

Footage shows Dominik Szoboszlai and Trent Alexander-Arnold - both ruled out with injury - giggling at Danns singing, the youngster fully going for it.

Danns, who was born in Liverpool and graduated from the academy, was notably singing with more gusto than any other of his team-mates.

The 18-year-old is the son of former Premier League midfielder Neil Danns, with football clearly running in the family.

However, it may come as a surprise to find out that he is the grandson of a former Eurovision backing singer and champion skateboarder Neil Danns Snr.

Danns signed for Liverpool as an eight-year-old, spending more than half his life on the books at Anfield.

After moving up to the U18s in 2022-23, he was only brought in to train with the first-team at the turn of the year.

Now he finds himself a Carabao Cup winner, and has surely earned his chance at more game time over the course of the season.

He has clearly caught his boss' eye, Klopp admitting: ''I loved him from the first second.'

Danns is said to spend time in the garden working on his first touch, and scored in his first 11 games for the U18s this season, taking his tally to 24 goals and four assists in 33 games for the U18s, as well as two goals and two assists in five for the U21s.

He has had some set backs already in his fledgling career, missing a year of football with Osgood-Schlatter's disease as he rapidly shot up from 5ft 2in to his lanky frame of 6ft now.
