Arsenal 1-0 Palace RATINGS: Who was the man getting the crowd on their feet?

  /  autty

Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to four points thanks to a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Eberechi Eze scored an acrobatic half-volley against his former club to give Mikel Arteta's men their seventh straight win in all competitions.

The Gunners' title hopes have been helped by Liverpool's damaging 3-2 loss at Brentford - their fourth straight Premier League defeat in a row - and Manchester City's 1-0 blow at Aston Villa.

With trips to newly promoted Burnley and Sunderland coming up, Arsenal could move even clearer in the coming weeks - though underestimate the new boys at your peril.

Daily Mail Sport's ISAAN KHAN was at The Emirates to take in the action and bring you our player ratings.

Arsenal (4-3-3)

DAVID RAYA: 6.5

A quiet game, wasn’t required to intervene. Kept alert in the first half when the opposition sprung a couple of attacks towards the goal area.

JURRIEN TIMBER: 7

Consistent threat on the overlap forward. Got the crowd on their feet with some magic on 29 minutes, shielding the ball from three players before trickery sent a defender the wrong way.

WILLIAM SALIBA: 6.5

Substituted at half-time, unclear if injury-related. Targeted by Jean-Philippe Mateta who had a size advantage, but battled away. Played a number of well-executed aerial deliveries to the frontline.

GABRIEL: 7.5

It was the Brazilian’s header which assisted Eberechi Eze’s goal. On 51 minutes he struck the bar off a Declan Rice cross. Such a dangerous threat aerially.

RICCARDO CALAFIORI: 6.5

Stable first half, before causing havoc in the second period with breaking runs forward. A player that is so hard to track.

EBERECHI EZE: 7.5

Started the afternoon off, against his old side, shakily after being dispossessed early on a few times. More than made up for that with a well-struck half-volley, his first Premier League goal for Arsenal.

MARTIN ZUBIMENDI: 6.5

Slightly off the pace today, particularly in the first half. Good interceptions but not as efficient on the ball.

DECLAN RICE: 8

Another Rice set-piece set Arsenal on their way yet again, his free-kick teeing up Eze. An engine in the midfield and defensively solid.

BUKAYO SAKA: 6.5

Had to contend with being crowded on the right wing. Tracked back and made good defensive tackles. The foul on him resulted in Rice’s decisive free-kick. Had a curling shot go just wide on 51 minutes.

VIKTOR GYOKERES: 6.5

Limited action around the area, which he would’ve desperately wanted. Came short to take deliveries, fend off defenders and get through the lines.

LEANDRO TROSSARD: 6.5

Threatening with the ball, kept looking to take his man on. Had a shot on edge of the box parried out, and his cross on 58 minutes just trickled wide of Saka.
