Chelsea and Arsenal continue to be linked with a switch for Brighton star Alexis Mac Allister ahead of the summer transfer window

Mac Allister's father and agent, Carlos, told TyC Sports in February: "For now he’s at Brighton. It’s a very good thing that he returned from the World Cup and has not pushed to leave, enjoying his success calmly, in a team that loves him very much. The reception he received was great. He’s very happy at the club. We know in July there will be chances to leave. But prior to the World Cup, Alexis renewed his contract, so the club has the opportunity to make a big sale.”

Those big sale talks are unlikely to go away any time soon as the Seagulls continue to push towards a European finish this season. Chelsea and Arsenal aren't the only teams interested as TyC Sports also reports that Manchester United and Liverpool are also in the hunt to land the World Cup winner.

The report adds that two of the clubs are "already negotiating" for a potential transfer ahead of the summer window in a couple of months. It doesn't add which ones are in discussions, however it suggests that at the very least some early interest is being followed up.

The 24-year-old could be the centre of a huge saga this summer, with the midfield being a huge area of interest amongst the likes of Declan Rice, Mason Mount and Jude Bellingham discussed as making moves.
