Arsenal transfer news: Mikel Arteta will have to submit his 25-man squad for the 2023/24 Premier League after the summer's business is completed

"There are some movements happening. The last week is going to be busy," Mikel Arteta is readying himself for a late flurry of activity in the summer transfer window at Arsenal.

Sporting director Edu Gaspar has already spent over £200million on Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber, Kai Havertz and David Raya. Talk of a fifth signing has been relatively quiet in recent weeks, but that hasn't stopped players being linked with a move to north London.

It's understood that the Spanish side will cover 100 percent of Tierney's wages - which are around £100,000-per-week - with regular game time and Champions League football behind the Scotsman's decision to move there, football.london understands.

As always, the 20 Premier League clubs will need to submit their 25-man squad to the Premier League once the transfer window slams shut. football.london understands that the deadline for that is at 2pm on Wednesday September 13.

That deadline comes 12 days after the window closes in England, meaning there could still be further movement of players leaving the Premier League for a move where the market is open for business - such as Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

Clubs are only allowed to register up to 17 players who do not fulfil the homegrown player criteria, with the remaining eight players having to be homegrown.
