After impressing for Villarreal against Sevilla, Arsenal supporters have made their feelings clear about former fan favourite Santi Cazorla.
Cazorla shone for Villarreal at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan as his side held Sevilla to a 0-0 draw in La Liga on Sunday night.
The creative Spanish midfielder departed Arsenal at the end of last season following his Achilles injury hell and joined Villarreal as a free agent in the summer.
His move away from the Emirates was met with plenty of sadness from Arsenal fans and their feelings only grew stronger after seeing Cazorla's display against Sevilla.
33-year-old Cazorla appeared near back to his best again playing in Spain, showing off his superb agility and play-making skills, as well as showcasing his fantastic ability with both feet.
And following the match, Arsenal fans flocked to social media to praise the very popular midfielder.
One Twitter account wrote: 'Cazorla such a beautiful player man. Started off at Arsenal as a CAM, then was shifted to the left. Then beautifully remodelled his game and became one of the best in the country from early 2015. What a talent, ruined by injury for 2 years.'
Another compared him to one Arsenal Invincible and legend in particular: 'Most technically gifted player since (Dennis) Bergkamp.'
The praise didn't stop there for the Spaniard, with another social media user saying: 'Wow. It’s like he never stopped playing. Great to see him doing his thing.'
One fan still can't believe how Cazorla has recovered from his injury hell to play at the highest level again.
He said on Twitter: 'It's a miracle that Santi is still playing football. Guy nearly lost his foot. So glad to see him back and looking sharp.'
The former Arsenal star has started both Villarreal's first two games of the La Liga season, losing to Real Sociedad 2-1 in the opener before the draw with Sevilla.
