Arsenal fans send Edu £250m transfer demand amid £170m double deal

Arsenal have been busy in the summer transfer market already with one signing through the door after Kai Havertz joined from Chelsea but more signings are due to follow

That will bring Arsenal's spending to £170million on just two players, but they are expected to do more business. Jurrien Timber is the next in line to join the Gunners revolution, while there could be a number of outgoings too.

A £30million deal for Timber (likely to be more of course), would take Arsenal's summer spending to £200million. Not bad for a team looking to kick on and challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title once again next season.

However, the fans think more could and perhaps should be spent by technical director Edu.

football.london asked the Arsenal fans to give us their thoughts on the summer transfer window in our Big Forum campaign at the beginning of this month. And the Gunners supporters responded in their thousands.

One of the key questions in the Big Forum was 'How much do you think needs to be spent on the squad for Arsenal to challenge again next season?'

And the response was unequivocal. A whopping 87% of people responded saying Arsenal needed to spend at least £200million to challenge for the title - something the Gunners are clearly doing.
