Mesut Ozil played a major part in Arsenal's impressive 3-1 victory over Leicester on Monday, with the midfielder scoring, providing an assist and also being hugely influential in his side's third goal.
Ozil certainly has plenty of admirers, and not just at Arsenal.
James Maddison may have been on the opposing side on Monday, but in March the midfielder, who played for Norwich at the time, sent a tweet praising Ozil.
Maddison's tweet read: 'Mesut Ozil is a special special footballer', reflecting upon the Arsenal midfielder's performance in a Europa League victory against AC Milan.
Arsenal fans picked up on Maddison's tweet and shared it extensively.
One Twitter user commented that Maddison 'practically stopped playing and watched him all through the game'.
Meanwhile, another stated: 'Hope you were taking notes tonight on the pitch lad'.
Maddison had actually started the game in positive fashion as he played some excellent passes and Leicester took the lead when Ben Chilwell's effort deflected in off Hector Bellerin.
However, Ozil then took control of the game, emphasising the undoubted quality that he possesses.
Ozil pulled Arsenal level just before half-time with an excellent finish and later turned provider for substitute Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Arsenal's third goal, which was also scored by Aubameyang, was excellent, with Ozil heavily involved in the build up.
