Arsenal forced to delete tweet hailing ‘sensational’ Saka record after Man City prove them wrong

MANCHESTER CITY have mocked Arsenal after they were forced to delete a tweet claiming Bukayo Saka had achieved a Premier League milestone.

Arsenal's post claimed that Bukayo Saka was the only player in Premier League history to score or assist against every side he had faced in the division - 25 in total.

That proved to be incorrect, with fans pointing out that Harry Kane and Erling Haaland had both also achieved that record.

Arsenal's original post was captioned with "Sensational Saka".

It was soon deleted after the claim that Saka is the only player to achieve this record was proven to be false.

Arsenal later corrected their post by clarifying that Saka was the first Arsenal player to achieve the record.

City later mocked Arsenal by posting a graphic captioned "Sensational Erling" with a list of all the Premier League teams he had scored or assisted against.

The Norwegian has scored against all 22 clubs he has faced during his two seasons in the Premier League.

Kane, meanwhile, scored against all 32 League clubs he faced in the Premier League before leaving for the Bundesliga last summer.

Saka's record comes off the back of another sensational season for the England star.

The winger scored 16 and assisted nine times in his 35 appearances in the league.

His starring role helped Arsenal to a Prem title charge but they lost out to Manchester City again for the second season running - finishing one point behind the Cityzens.

Saka is set to play a key role for Gareth Southgate's England side at the upcoming Euros in Germany.
