One fan replied: 'Have a word with Edu'. Silva responded to that tweet with a thumbs up emoji, suggesting that he would in fact speak with Arsenal's sporting director.

Silva's praise for Bellingham continued after he claimed that the Borussia Dortmund star 'will lift the World Cup one day'.

Bellingham made history as he became the first teenager in a World Cup knockout stage to register an assist since records began.

He provided the crucial pass to Jordan Henderson who opened the scoring for England in their round of 16 tie with Senegal.

It was Bellingham's second goal involvement out in Qatar after scoring England's first goal of the competition against Iran in their opening match.

The 19-year-old is already seen as one of the best players in the world and has already been linked with moves to Real Madrid, Liverpool and Manchester City.

England rounded off their 3-0 win thanks to goals from captain Harry Kane and Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka to book a place in the World Cup quarter-finals.

They'll face reigning champions France in the next round of the competition on Saturday night.
