Arsenal have got in touch with former Swansea manager Paulo Sousa's entourage over their vacant managerial role, according to reports.
The Gunners dismissed Unai Emery a week and a half ago after a difficult start to the season and put former midfielder Freddie Ljungberg in temporary charge of the side.
They won for the first time under the Swedish interim on Monday night as they beat West Ham 3-1.
But the north London club are not expected to put him in permanent charge of the team going forward.
And French outlet L'Equipe have now reported that Arsenal have made contact with Bordeaux manager Sousa's entourage.
Sousa managed three sides in England just over a decade ago, taking charge of QPR, Swansea and Leicester.
He has led Bordeaux to fifth in Ligue 1 this season and now seems to be attracting interest from elsewhere.
