Arsenal and Burnley supporters clashed in ugly scenes after their Premier League encounter at Turf Moor.

The rival supporters clashed as they attempted to leave the ground after the final whistle on Saturday.

Stewards cowered for safety as fans hurled wooden seats and bottles behind one of the goals.

Arsena had won the game 1-0 to lift the pressure on Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta.

Martin Odegaard scored the only goal of the game with a superb free kick.

It was his first goal since joining the Gunners on a permanent basis from Real Madrid in a £30m deal last month.

Burnley were denied a chance to equalise from the penalty spot when referee Anthony Taylor overturned his initial decision after reviewing Aaron Ramsdale's challenge on substitute Matej Vydra on the pitchside screen.
