Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will serve a touchline ban on the final game of the Premier League season after being booked against Newcastle on Sunday.
Arteta was cautioned in the closing stages of the 1-0 victory at the Emirates, with the Gunners boss kicking the ball back onto the pitch.
The caution was Arteta's third of the Premier League season, a tally resulting in an automatic one-match ban.
Arteta will now have to sit in the stands on the final day as Arsenal face relegated Southampton at St Mary's.
The match, however, will not have major consequence for Arsenal having sealed a return to the Champions League next season by beating Newcastle.
Declan Rice's superb second half goal proved the difference between the two sides.
The Gunners are effectively assured of finishing as runners-up for the third consecutive season due to their superior goal difference.
Arsenal, however, are currently 12 points behind newly crowned champions and also suffered a disappointing semi-final exit to PSG in the Champions League.
Speaking post-match, Arteta admitted Arsenal had fallen short of their ambitions and bemoaned injury problems during the campaign.
He also suggested the club would look to strengthen in the summer to boost their Premier League and Champions League ambitions next season.
‘We’ll we’re clearly very disappointed because we wanted to be here with the Premier League or the Champions League but it’s not the case,' Arteta told Sky Sports.
'But chasing a dream has its up and downs but make sure that doesn’t get blurry and doesn’t recognise what we’ve done.
Any other team I’ve seen it with one injury too, finishing 8th, 5th, 16th, 17th.
'What this team has done to sustain the level the throughout the season with everything that happened is incredible. We have to value what these guys have done.
‘Yes [this season has tested me more than any other]. Because of the culture that we set, because of the standards and the mindset that we have at this club.
‘If you raise expectation that’s what is coming. Because we are there, nobody wants us to be there. We've been there now for three or four seasons. They’re gonna want to take us from there and that is going to be difficult.
‘Finish the season, go to the beach and make sure the ones upstairs do what they need to do.’
