Aubameyang has been lethal for Arsenal

There's just no stopping Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the moment, with Leicester City the latest victims of the lethal Arsenal striker on Monday night.

While the team chemistry that Unai Emery has created since taking over was very much in evidence in the Gunners' 3-1 win, it was the reliable scoring touch of Aubameyang that rounded things off.

His two goals within three second-half minutes at the Emirates Stadium, having just come off the bench, meant the striker has been directly involved in 21 goals in his last 22 Premier League matches for Arsenal.

That impressive impact includes 16 goals and five assists at an average of a goal every 104.6 minutes of league action.

Indeed, since Aubameyang arrived in London in a £56million transfer from Borussia Dortmund in January, only Liverpool's Mohamed Salah has been more prolific in front of goal in the Premier League.

The Egyptian has scored 17 goals in just 21 appearances as part of breathtaking form for Jurgen Klopp's team, though Aubameyang, who has a better minutes per goal ratio, is closing in.

Aubameyang's free-scoring return puts him ahead of the likes of Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy and Sergio Aguero since he arrived at Arsenal on January 31, 2018.

Manchester City star Aguero is the only one in the top 10 with a better minutes per goal average than Aubameyang at 99.9.

Aubameyang's quick impact off the bench after replacing Stephan Lichtsteiner in the 61st minute meant he had scored four goals in the space of just 16 minutes if his late double in Arsenal's 5-1 win at Fulham on October 7 was included.

The Gabon forward has also found the net against Cardiff City and Everton this season as Emery's side notched 10 consecutive wins in all competitions.

Last season, Aubameyang scored against Everton, Brighton, Watford, Stoke City (twice), Southampton, Burnley (twice), Leicester and Huddersfield in league competition.

Arsenal are also profiting from Alexandre Lacazette's good form. In the same period from January 31, he has scored nine in 16 league games at an average of one every 115.7 minutes, putting him 11th on the list.
