According to Australian media outlet Football360, voting results from Daniel Garb, an Australian journalist juror for the 2026 Ballon d'Or Award, have been released. Kane ranked first, Messi third, Rodri fourth, and Olise fifth.

Bayern Munich star Kane ultimately won the Ballon d'Or Award at the ceremony in Paris, ending a 25-year wait for an English player. He also became the first English player to win the Ballon d'Or since Michael Owen in 1999.

According to Ballon d'Or voting rules, one journalist from each of the top 100 FIFA-ranked countries or regions casts a vote for the men's award, and one journalist from each of the top 50 FIFA-ranked countries or regions casts a vote for the women's award.

Each juror selects 10 players from a list of 30 nominees, awarding points in descending order: 15 points for first place, 12 for second, 10 for third, 8 for fourth, 7 for fifth, 5 for sixth, 4 for seventh, 3 for eighth, 2 for ninth, and 1 for tenth. If players have the same total score, the number of first-place votes is compared first, followed by second-place votes, third-place votes, and so on, to determine the final ranking.
