Mario Balotelli planned to troll Paris Saint-Germain by unveiling a t-shirt with a picture of Marcus Rashford if he scored.

In fact, Balotelli's Marseille lost 3-1 to the Ligue 1 champions so he did not reveal his jibe.

Rashford scored a last-minute goal against PSG to knock Thomas Tuchel's side out of the Champions League last week.

Canal + journalist Olivier Tallaron reported Balotelli wore a t-shirt with Rashford's face underneath his Marseille shirt.

The former Manchester City striker did not score, however, as Kylian Mbappe's 26th league goal of the season gave PSG the half-time lead before Valere Germain equalised right at the start of the second half.

Angel Di Maria struck either side of a red card for Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda to seal the win and move PSG ever nearer to another Ligue 1 title.

Mbappe could have made the scoreline more emphatic but he saw an injury-time penalty saved by back-up keeper Yohann Pele.

Balotelli is known for his antics as he famously unveiled a 'Why Always Me' t-shirt after scoring for City in the Manchester derby in 2011.
