Messi’s preseason return delayed
Lionel Messi will be unable to rejoin the Barcelona pre-season training as scheduled because the club are still yet to agree his contract.

This means that Messi cannot be involved with the team despite his willingness to do so after winning the Copa America.

Moriba in Barca B squad
Ilaix Moriba has been a hot property across Europe. The 18-year-old has failed to agree a new deal with the Blaugrana and thus demoted.
Manchester City and Chelsea have been said to be interested in the player but no official move has been made.
Meanwhile, Moriba has now joined the Barca B preseason squad to prepare for the new season.

Yet, considering Messi, Memphis Depay, Antoine Griezmann and Sergio Aguero are at the Camp Nou, little sense can be argued in adding a further forward. Especially in the current financial climate for the club.
