The La Liga giants begin their summer against the north Londoners and with neither side anywhere near full strength, we are a backing a low-key start
Tottenham continue their pre-season tour of the US by facing Spanish champions Barcelona in the early hours of Sunday morning in Pasadena.
Mauricio Pochettino is missing a host of first choice players for the summer tour but his side still managed to get off to a winning start in the International Champions Cup on Thursday by beating Roma 4-1.
For Barcelona, this will be their first game of what has been a busy summer in the transfer market so far for the Blaugrana.
It may be surprising to see that there is little to chose between the two sides in the winner market, with Barca the slight favourites at 7/5 (2.40) with bet365.
Spurs for their part are priced at 7/4 (2.75) with the draw offered at 13/5 (3.60), and this edition of the International Champions Cup has already season plenty of stalemates after 90 minutes.
Barcelona's squad for the tour is an extremely youthful one, with practically their entire first eleven missing.
Goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen is one of the few senior names traveling although he will link up with the squad in Dallas in a few days time, whilst new signings Arthur, Clement Lenglet and Malcom will all be aiming to make their respective debuts.
Spurs are also missing a host of first-choice players, so it is fair to say that both sides will be far from full strength.
It is hard to know what to expect from Ernesto Valvderde's side in their first game of the summer, with a second string side likely to be fielded at the Rose Bowl.
Last year they won all three games in this summer tournament, but on that occasion the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Ivan Rakitic and Sergio Busquets had all traveled.
While there is still quality available to Valverde for selection this time around, the starting eleven will not be vastly superior to that fielded by Spurs and the game could be a relatively close affair.
Under 2.5 goals is priced at 6/4 (2.50) which looks interesting, while also opposing an early strike could be an option.
The price of 5/6 (1.83) for no goal before the 24th minute appeals, with this bet paying out in the majority of games in the International Champions Cup at the time of writing.
