BAYERN MUNICH are reportedly plotting a stunning swoop for Harry Kane next summer - if the striker rejects a new Tottenham contract.
The Bundesliga club were linked with a move for the Spurs talisman in the recent transfer window.
Kane, 29, has just two years left on his current deal.
And the England captain is on Bayern's transfer list for the 2023 summer window, according to Bild.
The German outlet say Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic is keeping a close eye on Kane's contract situation.
If he does not pen a new contract in North London, then the Bundesliga champions will make their move.
It's even said contact has been made with Kane's brother and agent, Charlie.
Bayern boss Julian Nagelsmann spoke in July of his admiration for Kane, while CEO Oliver Khan said it would be a 'dream' to sign the Tottenham forward.
A move failed to materialise, but reports suggest Kane has not gone off Bayern's radar.
Although there are no suggestions that the striker is unsettled at Spurs and will not extend his stay with the club.
Boss Antonio Conte recently urged him to sign a new deal and said Kane was "happy" as part of his project in North London.
The Italian revealed: "My opinion is only one of a million opinions [trying] to force the club, to tell the club 'sign a new contract for Harry Kane'.
"Because we are talking about a world-class striker and a player who in this moment is the most representative player for Tottenham, no?
"For sure I would like him to sign a new contract.
"In this moment, for me it is very important to see him happy, totally involved with this season, this project and in what we are doing. For me this is the most important.
"Then it's a decision that the player and the club have to take."
