He scored 10 minutes after coming on as a substitute to give Arsenal a 1-0 victory and a place in the fourth round against Aston Villa.

Johan Cruyff

Cruyff nearly retired in 1978. But after losing most of his money in a series of poor investments, including a pig farm, that was counselled by a scam artist who had possibly seduced his wife, Cruyff and his family came to the United States.

At the age of 32, Cruyff signed a lucrative deal with the Los Angeles Aztecs of the North American Soccer League (NASL).

In January 1981, Cruyff played three friendly matches for Dordrecht.

Also in January 1981, manager Jock Wallace of English club Leicester made an attempt to sign Cruyff, and despite negotiations lasting three weeks, in which Cruyff expressed his desire to play for the club, a deal could not be reached. Cruyff instead chose to sign with Levante.

Beckenbauer

At 35, Beckenbauer returned to the Bundesliga and played for Hamburg for two seasons.

He won the fifth German Championship in his career in 1982, and returned to the Cosmos for one last season before retirement.

Ex-Tottenham forward Robbie Keane joined Aston Villa for a two-month loan spell before he returns to LA Galaxy of the MLS in 2012.

He scored 3 goals in seven matches in the Premier League and in Cup.
