Manchester United legend David Beckham has demanded stability at the club before hinting at a role in a potential takeover as he said he 'knows the right people' to buy the Red Devils.
This comes after there were yet more protests at Old Trafford, with fans demanding the Glazers sell the club.
It has been 11 months now since the Glazers announced they would consider selling the club and exasperated fans have grown tired of waiting for their ownership to end.
And now Beckham has put even more pressure on the owners as he urged them to sell to establish 'stability', before hinting at a potential role within the potential new ownership.
'We are one of the, if not the biggest club in the world. We want stability,' he told Sky Sports. 'I think that's the most important thing.
The former United star continued to hint at who he would like to see take over when asked about Sheikh Jassim's bid.
He continued: 'We all have our favourites of who we feel needs to run the club and look after the club to take it back to where it belongs.
'In our eyes, in the fans eyes, we are number one. We want to be back at the top and I believe I know the right people to do that so we'll see!'
Erik ten Hag eased pressure on himself with a 2-1 win over Brentford as Scott McTominay netted twice in injury time to complete the comeback.
Beckham finalised by urging Man United to remain patient with the head coach as things 'haven't been easy for him' with the uncertainty surrounding the club.
'Let's see. He's a good coach,' Beckham said.
'It is a difficult time at the moment but there's a lot of noise around the club at the moment. It can't be easy for him.
'We all want that noise to go away. We all want a decision to be made for the club, for the fans, for the players and for the managers.'
The Red Devils travel to Sheffield United next weekend as they look to make it two wins from two and continue to climb in the Premier League.
