Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has continued his road to recovery from a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament by spending time with former Napoli winger Ezequiel Lavezzi.

The Arsenal defender went down unchallenged during the second half of Arsenal's 2-0 victory over Chelsea last month and has already undergone surgery to repair the problem.

He now finds himself on the long road to recovery and is spending time with a host of footballing stars to get him through his layoff.

The latest is Lavezzi, who shot to footballing prominence at Napoli after forming a deadly attacking partnership with Edinson Cavani between 2010 and 2012.

The Argentine went on to join Paris Saint-Germain but left the French giants in 2016 to join current team Hebei China Fortune.

Arsenal defender Bellerin has been documenting his road to recovery on Instagram, with fans rushing to wish him well.

The Gunners will sorely miss Bellerin as the defender had firmly established himself as Unai Emery's first-choice right back, despite the arrival of the experienced Stephan Lichtsteiner.

The 23-year-old struggled at times last season but he has become more effective under Emery and has made a significant contribution both defensively and in an attacking sense.

Bellerin had made 19 Premier League appearances before sustaining the injury to his left knee.

Since joining from Barcelona aged just 16, the Spaniard has racked up 181 games and scored seven goals.
