Friday night's Bundesliga clash at the Olympiastadion looks a great opportunity to side with a team that have continued to defy the odds this term
A 3-0 defeat to RB Leipzig is the only real blemish on Hertha Berlin's Bundesliga home form this season.
Pal Dardai's men are 33/20 (2.65) to beat Schalke when the pair square off at the Olympiastadion on Friday night and that looks a price well worth considering for punters.
The draw is 21/10 (3.10) while Schalke are priced at 7/4 (2.75) so the bookmakers don't believe there is much between these teams.
While it's true the visitors have turned around a dismal start to the season which saw them lose five straight games in this competition, their away form still leaves plenty to be desired and that's what makes the 33/20 (2.65) on the home side so appealing.
Schalke have taken a total of nine points from an available 27 on the road this term. Hertha however, have garnered 15 points from just eight matches - including four wins - in front of their own fans.
As impressive as that is for the home side, the calibre of sides they've played makes it even more so. In the first half of the campaign they've beaten Bayern Munich, Borussia Monchengladbach and Frankfurt - all of whom sit in the top five coming into this weekend.
Domenico Todesco's side have also yet to face either of the top two teams on the road this season. When they've visited teams in the current top eight of the Bundesliga they've lost three of their five matches, drawing the other two and scoring just three goals in those encounters.
Hertha have struggled on the road for the most part but look to have enough about them to get the better of a team that have a serious bout of travel sickness when Schalke visit the Olympiastadion. What's more, at 33/20 (2.65) they look a tasty betting option to do so with 888Sport.
