Betting Tips: Wolves vs Liverpool

  /  autty

Our tipster thinks that there will be plenty of goalmouth action at both ends when Nuno Espirito Santo's side face the league leaders on Friday night

Friday's Premier League football could well produce a fascinating fixture as league leaders, Liverpool, travel to take on in-form Wolves at Molineux.

Jurgen Klopp's charges remain unbeaten after 17 matches of the Premier League season and the Reds will fancy their chances of extending that impressive run here.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side, though, recorded a third successive top-flight win for the first time in 38 years last weekend and Wolves will not be fazed at the prospect of locking horns with the men from Merseyside.

Indeed, Wolves have lost just one of their five fixtures against teams currently above them in the Premier League thus far.

Santo's side held Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal before beating Chelsea and bet365 go 5/1 (6.0) that the hosts become the first team to beat the Reds in the Premier League this term.

The same firm go 100/30 (4.33) that Wolves earn a point against Klopp's men.

Liverpool claimed a comfortable 3-1 win against Manchester United at Anfield last weekend and the visitors are bet365's 1/2 (1.50) favourites to win their final away match of 2018.

Santo has a full squad from which to choose ahead of Friday's fixture and could name the same starting line-up that picked up all three points against Bournemouth last time out.

James Milner and Trent Alexander-Arnold missed last week's victory against Manchester United and while the latter will also sit out of Friday's fixture, the former should be fit enough to return.

Friday's hosts have kept a clean sheet in five of their seven league victories so far this season and bet365 go 5/1 (6.0) that Santo's side shut out the Reds, while the odds compilers offer 9/1 (10.0) that Wolves win to nil on this occasion.

Taming Liverpool could prove tricky though - only Manchester City have scored more goals than Liverpool in the Premier League thus far.

As such, the 2/1 (3.0) quote from bet365 for Liverpool to score more than two goals could well prove popular with punters - the selection would have landed in the last three domestic fixtures that the Reds have contested on their travels.

Both teams will come into this clash in a confident mood as well as fine form and the stage is set a classic encounter.

Value, then, could lie in backing more than two goals and both teams to score at 11/8 (2.38) with bet365 ahead of Friday's fixture.
