Borussia Dortmund are keeping tabs on young Liverpool midfielder Tyler Morton as he continues to impress on loan, according to reports.

The 20-year-old is enjoying a stellar campaign with Blackburn Rovers in the Championship and has helped the side reach third in the league table after 20 games.

With Dortmund's impressive track record of recruiting young English talent, it'll come as no surprise that the Bundesliga side have taken an interest in Morton.

According to the Sun, Dortmund have sent their English scout Daniel Dodds - who was formerly at Southampton and Nottingham Forest - to check on Morton.

They look to make the 20-year-old their latest English starlet since the arrivals of Jude Bellingham and Jadon Sancho.

The former was brought in from Championship side Birmingham while the current United winger was signed from Manchester City's academy as a youngster.

They may have difficulty in their pursuit of Morton however, as he's viewed as a future star at Anfield having already made nine senior appearances for the Reds.

Though he was shipped on loan this season, the youngster has already played in some crucial first-team games for Jurgen Klopp.

He made his Liverpool debut in November last year coming on as a sub during a 4-0 win over Arsenal. Four days later, he made his Champions League debut and played a full 90 minutes against Porto.

He's also a feature of England's U20 side where he's made three appearances for the Young Lions.

Morton signed a long-term contract with the club in January 2021, which adds to the difficulty in trying to strike a deal for the player.
