Bournemouth have agreed a fee of up to £15million to sign Huddersfield midfielder Philip Billing.

The Cherries are poised to make Billing their third summer signing after Jack Stacey from Luton and Bristol City's Lloyd Kelly.

The 23-year-old made 27 appearances and scored twice as the Terriers suffered relegation from the Premier League.

Brighton had also shown an interest but Billing is keen to link up with Eddie Howe who has maintained a long-term interest in the Denmark U21 international.

Billing was fined three weeks' wages and not given a squad number for this season after criticising club boss Jan Siewert.

He said of Siewert: 'He is special. Real German mentality, little strange. He came in like he had won the Premier League five times, a little arrogant, and I think most of the players lost the respect for him after week one. People could see there was something wrong.'
