Brazil striker Gabriel Jesus is 'RULED OUT of the World Cup'

Brazil have been dealt a double injury blow with striker Gabriel Jesus and left-back Alex Telles ruled out the rest of the World Cup.

The five-time world champions take on South Korea in their last-16 fixture on Monday but will now be missing two more key men.

Arsenal forward Jesus looks likely to need a month on the sidelined to get over an injury to his right knee.

Manchester United defender Telles, who is on loan at Sevilla, may need surgery on his knee issue and is expected to be out for longer, according to Brazilian news outlet Globo.

It means that Jesus will miss the rest of Brazil’s World Cup campaign and also some of Arsenal's festive fixture schedule as he recovers.

Telles has suffered a more serious knee problem and he left the field in tears during Brazil’s 1-0 defeat to Cameroon in their final group match on Friday night.
