Brentford have opened talks over a move for South Korean defender Kim Ji-Soo.
The 18-year-old centre back plays for Seongnam FC and is highly regarded across Europe having been scouted regularly by Bayern Munich and Sporting Lisbon.
The teenager, who was selected for the K League All Star team, stands at 6ft 5ins so is already drawing comparisons with compatriot Kim Min-Jae at Napoli who is a £55million summer target for Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.
Kim Ji-Soo is considerably cheaper as he has a buy-out clause of around £560,000 and Brentford are working on a deal.
Thomas Frank's side are also in advanced talks to sign Dutch goalkeeper Mark Flakken, 29, from Freiburg.
Brentford are aware that David Raya may go this summer, amid interest from Tottenham. They want a replacement for Hugo Lloris who is leaving and has an offer from Saudi Arabia.
Brentford though are still awaiting firm bids for Raya. They have also discussed Liverpool's Caoimhin Kelleher but considered the Anfield's club valuation of around £15m unrealistic.
