Thomas Frank said it would be a ‘fantastic dream’ for Brentford to finish in the European places come the end of the Premier League season.
The Bees, in 11th, beat West Ham 1-0 last time out and sit five points off Fulham in eighth.
Providing English clubs are awarded an extra Champions League spot and the team who wins the FA Cup finish in the top seven, eighth place would qualify for next season’s Conference League.
‘We want to push and if we can achieve that it would be a fantastic dream,’ Frank said ahead of his side’s match at Leicester on Friday night.
‘It’s about focusing on Leicester and winning a game they have to win. Let’s get three points and maybe down the line we can dream.
‘A big target for us is we haven’t won two games in a row, so if we want to dream about Euro places we need more consistency.’
Leicester have not won since beating Tottenham 2-1 in January and have lost nine of their past 10 league games.
A victory for Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side, who sit two points adrift of Wolves in 17th, would be pivotal to their hopes of staying up.
Kick-off: 8pm, King Power Stadium.
