Brentford have reportedly offered Christian Eriksen a long-term contract at the club and are said to waiting for him to respond.
Denmark international Eriksen returned to football for the first time since he suffered a cardiac arrest at Euro 2020 when he joined Brentford on January 31.
Eriksen signed a short-term contract which expired at the end of the season and is now in talks about extending his stay in West London.
According to Sky Sports, Brentford have presented Eriksen will a new longer-term contract at the club. They are said to be waiting for his reply.
However, Sportsmail previously revealed that Eriksen was looking to target trophies during the 2022-2023 campaign.
Speaking to BBC Sports in May, Eriksen said: 'I don't know what the future holds. It will be a decision from a sporting perspective but also from a family perspective, going into the decision of where we're going to go.
'I've always wanted to win trophies. I'm always on the competitive side, I always want to be the best version possible in any way, playing at the highest level possible.
When he was asked whether Brentford are 'in the conversation', Eriksen replied: 'They are – they definitely are. I haven't made up my mind 100 percent of where I'm going.
'I have an idea, but what's going to happen I don't know. But Brentford are definitely in the category of one of the clubs.'
The former Ajax midfielder reached the Champions League final with Spurs in 2019 and won Serie A with Inter Milan in 2021.
Therefore, having had the taste of silverware before, Eriksen will be eager to put himself in the best position position to experience such success again.
