Match Report

It took yet another piece of Mbappe brilliance to drag PSG out of a messy situation, and you wonder just where they would be without him.

However, the evening actually started well for the visitors as Carlos Soler scored the opening goal after 37 minutes.

Yet, the predictably porous PSG defense let the team down again when they conceded an equalizer just six minutes later.

Mbappe had a few shots in the second-half that forced smart saves out of the Brest goalkeeper, but when the decisive moment arrived, he was clinical.

Lionel Messi played the role of creator as he laid on a sublime pass into the path of the French international, who took the ball in stride and rifled it into the net via the right post.

There was then a nervous wait for Galtier and his players as VAR looked at the goal to see if there was an offside in the build-up.

After a mind-numbing few minutes, the goal was eventually declared legitimate and PSG were able to secure a victory and hopefully put a testing week behind them.
