Brighton goalkeeper Mat Ryan is closing in on a move to Real Sociedad.
The Australian was on loan at Arsenal last season and had been considered for a permanent move while also attracting interest from Celtic.
However, the prospect of regular first team football in LaLiga appeals to Ryan, who previously figured for Valencia.
The 29-year old, who had one year left on contract, is due to undergo a medical this week after Sociedad agreed a fee with Brighton.
The emergence of Robert Sanchez at Brighton threw Ryan's future at Brighton into doubt.
He started last season as Graham Potter's first choice but looked unconfident in between the sticks and was dropped in December.
As a result, Sanchez took over the gloves and subsequently become one of Brighton's top performers - helping to keep ten clean sheets.
Ryan, on the other hand, was shipped to Arsenal - playing his first game in a 1-0 loss to Aston Villa in February.
He also featured in a 1-1 draw against Fulham in April before keeping a clean sheet in a 2-0 victory over Newcastle the following month.
Ryan had opened the door to a possible future with Arsenal but it is now believed he will join Real Sociedad instead.
