Brighton are showing interest in Amiens forward Moussa Konate.
The Senegal international, 26, hopes to qualify for a work permit after missing out on a move to England last summer.
Konate has enjoyed a nomadic career, joining Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2011 before moving to Kranodar in Russia a year later and then spending the 2013/14 season on loan at Genoa.
Four years with Swiss side Sion brought 50 goals in just 115 games and earned him a move to Ligue 1 side Amiens in August 2017.
Since joining the French club, Konate contributed 21 goals in 57 games in 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons and attracted the attention of Premier League clubs.
The attacker has registered 11 goals in 31 appearances since his Senegal debut in 2012, and was part of the squad that finished runners-up in the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
