Brighton are closing in on a move for Venezia captain Michael Svoboda, with the Premier League club reportedly ready to trigger the defender\u2019s \u20AC6 million release clause.
The 27-year-old Austrian centre-back has emerged as a key target after an impressive season in Italy, where he played a leading role in Venezia’s promotion back to Serie A.
Svoboda made 30 appearances across all competitions last season, contributing three goals and two assists as Venezia secured the Serie B title.
