Barcelona star Gerard Pique has sparked a number of transfer rumours after being spotted in London carrying around a Chelsea merchandise bag.
The 35-year-old defender was in the English capital to watch the annual Wimbledon competition when onlookers noticed that he was holding a number of bags branded by the Blues.
With Barcelona boss Xavi already telling Pique that he is surplus to requirements at the Nou Camp, the Spaniard's decision to show off his Chelsea apparel has gotten fans talking about a potential move.
According to Spanish publication Marca, the legendary centre-back visited the Chelsea megastore to buy home shirts for his children - which they were later seen wearing.
A move to Stamford Bridge wouldn't be out of the question as Thomas Tuchel's side look to secure defensive reinforcements following Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen's respective departures.
The Spanish international was told he had no future at Barcelona two weeks ago due to his unprofessional conduct off the field and his deteriorating physical condition.
Xavi told Pique - who is among the highest earners at Barcelona - that he was no longer part of his plans and that he could leave the Nou Camp this summer despite remaining in contract until 2024.
Xavi reportedly spoke to his former team-mate directly and made it clear that Pique is not going to be included in his plans for the future.
While he doesn't question Pique's ability to perform at the highest level, it is thought Xavi has concerns about the veteran defender's ability to cope with the hectic schedule within modern football.
The club hope that Pique will make a dignified exit this summer and even let them off some of the £34.3m that they owe him, just like legendary figure Carles Puyol did when he left in 2014.
