CHRIS SUTTON: Harry Maguire should have known to avoid a boozy island and gone Disney World!

Being a footballer is great, but there are certain downsides that come with playing the game.

You have to accept you can't live a normal life. There are always people out there who will, for whatever reason, want to see if they can get a reaction out of you.

Back in the day, Ayia Napa was the place to be, but it was a potential powder keg. Players would flock to the Cypriot resort and mix with members of the public who were there getting well oiled. I'd avoid heading there.

I'd rather take the family to Walt Disney World, Florida. The risk of being caught up in an altercation was considerably lower on the It's A Small World ride! It's unfortunate and unfair, but that's the way it is.

Harry Maguire has faced criticism for heading to Mykonos because of that. As captain of Manchester United, arguably the world's biggest club, maybe he should have known better.

I'm sure he wishes he didn't head there now and he won't be hurrying back.

I have to stress we don't know the details of what happened but there are reports Maguire became involved when his sister was assaulted.

As with Eric Dier, who climbed into the stands at to defend his brother, I could understand why Maguire would be angry.

I would be, too. It's a shame footballers have to think about where they can and cannot go. But this seems a sacrifice that has to be made if you're a high-profile name nowadays.
