Bruno Fernandes spreading Christmas cheer! Man Utd captain handed out festive gifts to Red Devils staff from first-team squad
Manchester United skipper Bruno Fernandes handed out presents to the club's staff on the occasion of Christmas.
On behalf of all the players, the United skipper distributed Christmas presents among the staff as an appreciation for the service they provide to the club year-long, according to the Daily Mail. The report further claimed that 'significant items' were handed over as presents, although it was not revealed what exactly the players gifted.
The Red Devils' academy head Nick Cox thanked fans for their constant support of the club's youth team as he wrote, "The interest that our fans have in youth development is one of the reasons that makes this club so special. It's what makes us different. Everyone in the academy recognises your support, we know that many of you attend as many games as you can. It never goes unnoticed, particularly when the games are at distant locations or unsociable times, the impact of your support is immeasurable."
Erik ten Hag's side have already offloaded two players in the January transfer window as outcast Donny van de Beek has completed yet another loan move to Eintracht Frankfurt while Sergio Reguilon ended his loan spell and returned to Tottenham Hotspur.
After ending 2023 on a disappointing note as they went down 2-1 against Nottingham Forest in their final game of the year, the club will hope to start the new year on a positive note as they take on Wigan Athletic in an FA Cup third-round clash on January 8.
