Ahead of Man United's Premier League away match against Chelsea, manager Carrick gave an interview to TNT Sports.

Given Man United's recent results, how big an opportunity is today's game for the team to turn things around?
We can't hide from the fact that we desperately want to win this game. Today is another great opportunity. Playing away here is tough, and we have to give everything to get all three points, but we've done it before, and we're really looking forward to it. We've prepared well, trained excellently, and the lads are all ready.
Compared with last week, there are three changes to the starting lineup, the most significant being Bruno Fernandes taking the captain's armband and returning straight to the starting XI. How important is he to Man United's hopes of turning around their current form and momentum?
Of course, Bruno is a crucial player, and he has proven that for a long time. He showed what he can do last season, and he has been showing it at this club for years. He will definitely prove his ability again; I have no doubt about that.
Maguire is making his 300th Premier League appearance. How important is that kind of experience when you need to get out of the current difficult spell?
Yes, experience certainly helps. It isn't everything, but it can obviously play a positive role. I think we have a good balance in that regard within the squad, and although I know we've had a tough time with results, the lads are going into this game with a very clear mindset, and we know exactly what we need to do.
Chelsea have had some ups and downs this season, and they might come into today's game with something to prove. What are your expectations of them?
It's really more about us, and about what kind of performance we can put in. We can't influence or control what they show in the game. We just need to show the best version of ourselves, and if our performance gets close to that level, we'll have a great chance of winning.
