After another busy weekend of Championship action, Sportsmail's AMITAI WINEHOUSE takes a closer look at the action and presents the things we learned.
HERO OF THE WEEK - Trevor Chalobah (Ipswich)
Ipswich were 2-1 up when Swansea’s Bersant Celina dribbled through their half and fired home from range. It seemed that first win of the season had slipped through their fingers again. Not quite.
There were 84 minutes on the clock when Chalobah leapt highest at a corner and headed in, giving the 19-year-old his second goal and first league win in senior football. It will have meant as much to him as it did to those fans with a five-hour drive home to come. A hero indeed.
ZERO OF THE WEEK - Tommy Elphick (Hull City)
Hull City would need something special to take anything from Bramall Lane and they nearly had it.
In fact, when Tommy Elphick pulled Sheffield United defender Jack O’Connell to the floor in the box from a corner, they had been on top in the game.
David McGoldrick scored from the spot and Hull were denied a point. Worse — Hull dropped to bottom as the Blades went top.
WELCOME BACK, JACK
Jack Rodwell was handed his first start for Blackburn in their 1-0 win over Bolton, displacing Richie Smallwood, who had not been out of the starting line-up since he signed for Rovers last summer.
He had a decent game, but more importantly got through to the hour with little trouble before Tony Mowbray turned to his usual midfield pair.
While he was once a player touted to do so much, it is now a cause for celebration just to see the 27-year-old performing.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK - Alex Neil (Preston manager)
Victory over Wigan at Deepdale by 4-0 saw Neil’s side climb off the foot of the table and he believes better times are coming.
‘There are still things we can improve on but today was more about the points,’ said Neil.
‘To do that by scoring four goals, getting Sean Maguire back on the pitch and keeping a clean sheet... if I had to write a script beforehand that would probably have been it.’
GOAL OF THE WEEK - Joe Lolley against Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough had not conceded at home this season, a record it was going to take something special to break.
Forest’s Lolley provided it to set up a 2-0 win. He picked up the ball just after halfway, found space under pressure from Ryan Shotton, then rifled a left-foot strike from outside the box high into Darren Randolph’s net.
