Football fans found it hilarious when chants mocking Tottenham rang around Ally Pally during the World Darts Championship final - and James Maddison couldn't resist biting back.
A chorus of 'Tottenham get battered everywhere they go' was belted out around a raucous Alexandra Palace as footballing rivalry overspilled into darts' night of reckoning.
Luke Littler's dream of becoming the world's youngest-ever darts champion was dashed after a breathtaking comeback by Luke Humphries, who won five straight sets to claim a 7-4 victory.
Despite the gripping drama on the oche, revellers made their own fun with anti-Tottenham chants.
Spurs star Maddison hit back by holding up a sign which read 'north London is white' in reference to his team's rivalry with Arsenal.

Another applauded: 'Ally Pally in unison singing” Tottenham get battered everywhere they go” to James Maddison in the crowd. Poetic s***housery.'
Despite the strong current in favour of ridiculing Spurs - who sit in a commendable fifth place in the Premier League, just one point off the top four - there was resistance from the Ange Postecoglou faithful.

Maddison is a big darts fan, styling his signature goal celebration around the sport.
He even invited Littler to watch Spurs take on Bournemouth at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and had a photo taken with the 16-year-old sensation.
