Match Report
FULHAM manager Marco Silva will make the short journey back home still seething after his side were beaten by rivals Chelsea in a game filled with controversial decisions.
Silva's Fulham were hard done by after they saw a goal ruled out, conceded a goal after the allotted period of added time and let in a penalty after a soft handball decision went against them.
Youngster Josh King thought he had earned his moment in the sun with a first Fulham goal in the first half, only to see it ruled out by VAR after Rodrigo Muniz was deemed to have stamped on Trevoh Chalobah in the build up.
As if that wasn't enough to frustrate Fulham fans, Chelsea later took the lead in the ninth minute of the additional time that was added as a result of the VAR check.
Silva was fuming at the fact, waiting to speak to referee Rob Jones on the sidelines to ask why the goal had gone in one minute beyond the eight minutes that were initially held up by the fourth official.
It was Joao Pedro who rose above the crowd to nod home the controversial goal from a corner kick.
Silva resorted to laughing instead of venting anger in the second half when Chelsea were awarded a penalty by VAR after Ryan Sessegnon was deemed to have handled the ball in the box.
Enzo Fernandez calmly doubled Chelsea's lead from the spot.
Fulham tried to force an equaliser, but with the rub of the green against them and a two goal deficit, the Cottagers were ultimately unable to turn things around.
