Chelsea and Tottenham are reportedly in 'frequent contact' with the entourage of Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly over a potential transfer.
Koulibaly has experienced a mixed season amid Napoli's chaotic campaign which saw them sack boss Carlo Ancelotti, now at Everton .
But he remains a target for top European clubs with two Premier League sides eyeing a January swoop.
According to Corriere del Mezzorgiono , both Chelsea and Tottenham are in contact with representatives of the player as they consider tabling a bid.
Koulibaly was the subject of a big bid from Jose Mourinho when he was Manchester United manager last year, which was rejected before they splashed out a world-record fee on Harry Maguire in the summer.
Koulibaly has also been linked with Arsenal as Mikel Arteta aims to strengthen his defence.
Napoli's struggles could see them cash-in on the centre-back, with chief Aurelio De Laurentiis admitting recently they may be forced to sell their star man.
