Chelsea fans can't wait for Pulisic to arrive after brilliant goal for USA

Christian Pulisic whetted the appetite of Chelsea fans on Tuesday night with a fine goal for the USA against Chile.

The Stamford Bridge-bound forward showed his class early on during the clash at the BBVA Compass Stadium, opening the scoring after four minutes.

The 20-year-old latched on to a through ball from team-mate Gyasi Zardes before finding himself one-on-one with Chile shot-stopper Gabriel Arias.

He showed incredible composure to nonchalantly lift the ball beyond the onrushing keeper and was taken out in the process.

However, he was back on his feet in time to see the ball bobble towards the corner and nestle in the back of the net.

The moment of magic had Chelsea supporters in awe of the prospect of what they could be witnessing next season, after the club agreed a £58million deal to take the American from Borussia Dortmund this summer.

One supporter took to Twitter to describe the flick as 'majestic' having seen Pulisic give Gregg Berhalter's side the lead.

Another simply proclaimed: 'This kid is special.'

The goal sent one fan's imagination racing as he stated: 'Christian Pulisic to Chelsea is going to be a joy to watch. More entertainment coming to the Premier League.'

It wasn't all plain sailing for the US, as Chile soon equalised and held their hosts to a 1-1 draw in Texas.

And things weren't all rosy on a personal note for Pulisic either, who was taken off with an injury before the break, although his coach sought to play down the extent of the problem despite sending the player for an MRI scan.

'I'm not worried,' Berhalter told reporters.

'You look into the why, you do an inquiry of why that's happening, and you make adjustments. He's at a top club, he's going to a top club [in Chelsea].

'We have very high-level medical personnel on our side and we'll get it right.'
