Latest Chelsea news as the availability of Mykhailo Mudryk has been revealed following an injury scare in Ukraine's clash with England last Saturday

Chelsea's Mykhailo Mudryk looked to have suffered a calf injury in Ukraine's Euro 2024 qualifier against England. The 22-year-old endured a tough outing against Manchester City's Kyle Walker with the final duel between the two ending with Mudryk on the deck clutching his calf and Walker running away with the ball.

According to the Evening Standard, Mudryk was present for Ukraine's recovery session which featured some running on grass at the Fair Play Arena just outside Wroclaw. Mudryk has struggled for consistency and minutes since his £62million move from Shakhtar Donetsk, but this injury fear being alleviated could be his chance to stake a starting claim.

Earlier in the year, having worked with Pochettino for a number of weeks, Mudryk explained what helps him be at his best. "Not everything depends on what happens in a match," he told Chelsea's official website. "It’s more an effect of your mentality. When you feel confident and you feel the coach trusts you, you play another game without any doubts.

"From the opening days of pre-season, I started to understand what the coach wants from us – and from me. That makes it easier to enjoy the game with my team-mates."
