In 'aggressive' Todd Boehly and Mark Walter, Chelsea have the 'best ownership group in sports'.
That is the view of Stan Kasten, president, chief executive and fellow co-owner of baseball's Los Angeles Dodgers.
'If I'm a Chelsea fan I feel pretty happy about it,' Kasten told Sportsmail at Dodgers Stadium. 'I think this is the best ownership group in sports.'
Kasten believes Blues supporters can look forward to a direct approach from his fellow Americans. 'They are aggressive in making the team better, aggressive in making the stadium better, aggressive in our community relations outreach,' he explained.
'Just all of the things because it's passionate. As long as you are passionate about things in a good direction, you can't lose and that's the way I feel about Todd and Mark.'
The group's Dodgers takeover in 2012 has ushered in a decade of unparalleled success. For nine seasons in a row the historic franchise have reached the postseason, beating its previous record of two straight appearances. In 2020 they were crowned world champions.
They arrived with a blaze of signings, and Kasten has not ruled out similar in west London, with Chelsea set to add City pair Raheem Sterling and Nathan Ake imminently.
'When we came in here in 2012 we knew we had to be good right away for the fans who had supported us for generation,' he said.
'It's expected and the fans deserve it. But we also had to go long term, minor league, player development, apparatus. In that first year while we went and made trades which set us up for our nine straight years of getting to the post-season.'
Boehly is already heavily involved in Chelsea's transfer activity, after making himself chairman and taking a hands-on approach. And Kasten says supporters can expect more of the same.
'He is a super fan, cares so much about the team but also all of our missions: that's the team, the stadium, the community relations,' he explained.
'All of those things are vital to us. Todd has been extremely supportive in all those efforts as has Mark (Walter). They are passionate about winning and providing the best in class for everything we do.
'I tell people I think I'm an aggressive guy. Todd's always there to make sure I'm even more aggressive than that, that's just how they are. They have had a lot of success in their lives doing things that way.'
