With Petr Cech is on his way to retirement, it is becoming easier to forget the young goalkeeper who set the Premier League alight when he first arrived in the division at Chelsea.

On Tuesday, the Premier League's official Twitter account posted a statistic about how good Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson had been during his first season in England.

The Premier League's account tweeted out: 'Alisson's 17 clean sheets are the most by a goalkeeper in their debut Premier League season since Jose Reina in 2005/06 (20)'.

Cech responded later in the day, writing on his account: 'I know one guy who had 24CS (clean sheets) in his debut EPL season.'

The Premier League then responded, writing: 'So do we... and he's still top of this list!'

They then posted the list: 'MOST CLEAN SHEETS IN A PREMIER LEAGUE SEASON:

It remains to be seen whether Alisson can match Cech's mark in Liverpool's remaining nine games.
